Smellomo:Design di un gadget per olfatto trasporta profumi
Lo Smellomo è un dispositivo di trasporto per l’olfatto. E’ uno strumento di conforto e ricordo, ad alto potere emotivo. Si basa infatti sulla proprietà mnemonica dell’olfatto e sulla forza evocativa che questo senso possiede. Si tratta di un piccolo guscio in plastica e gomma, che può contenere profumo. Questo può essere così trasportato e “utilizzato” all’occorrenza. Una sorta di polaroid olfattiva, con cui fondamentalmente ricordare persone, luoghi, momenti, attraverso il profumo. Proposto come progetto al concorso internazionale di design Roaming Rome 2010 ha ricevuto una menzione speciale.

Smellomo is an “olfactory transport device”. It is an instrument of comfort and memory, with high emotional power. Its power is indeed based on the mnemonic property of smell and on the evocative power that this sense possesses. The object is a small shell made of plastic and rubber, which can contain perfume. This can be basically carried away and “used” as needed. A kind of olfactory polaroid, with which remember people, places, moments, through the perfume. Proposed as a design project at the International Design Contest Roaming Rome 2010 > it received a special mention.
